Fatima Ali, DO

Internal Medicine

What I find most rewarding about my work is the patient-physician relationship—especially when it’s built with a personalized touch and focused on preventative care and overall wellness.

My approach to care centers on having the freedom to spend meaningful time with patients, without the constraints of quotas or rushed visits. This allows me to truly focus on building strong patient relationships, with an emphasis on prevention and long-term health.

One of the most memorable moments in my career was receiving a message from a floor nurse that said: “Dr. Ali, we just want to let you know that you truly are special and one of the best physicians we have ever met. You truly care. The world needs more physicians like you. Please don’t ever change and continue to be awesome.” That kind of feedback is incredibly meaningful to me.

I stay up to date by regularly reading JAMA articles and frequently using trusted clinical resources like UpToDate and DynaMed.

I attended a small private high school in Indianapolis before completing my undergraduate degree at IUPUI as a pre-med major. I then earned my medical degree from Marian University College of Osteopathic Medicine. After that, I moved to Ohio, where I completed my internal medicine residency at NEOMED/Summa Health in Akron.

At Renova Total Health, I’m especially excited about the direct primary care model, which allows for a more patient-centered approach focused on preventative care and wellness—without the usual time restrictions or insurance-related barriers.
